An unforgettable experience in Chinese New Year

It all started in a sunny afternoon, I began packing my luggage and stuff as I was planning to go back home earlier to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family members. After I had finished packing, my journey from Kampar to Ipoh…..has begun. For Malaysians, it’s quite common to be running around under the hot weather and scorching environments. Me while driving on the road: “ I must INSANE! Choosing the hottest hour to be under the sun. ” To be completely honest, I’m sweating more than I’m driving, the sweats and tears that I’ve produce could leave a trail from Kampar to Ipoh. I’m not overexaggerating although It’s kinda doubtful and funny as the colour of my shirt turns into a completely new one. Then, I began wondering “ Would my parents doubt that I went to get a new shirt for myself when I’m coming back? ” Unconsciously, this question accompanied me all the way back to Ipoh.



After I had reached Ipoh, the tragedy had begun…..When I was about to stop at a traffic junction. The car in front of me brake all of a sudden. This causes me to ram into his car slightly. At that time, I was kinda shocked, thinking of paying for his damage cost. I thought that it would not cost much as I’m a car person. I quickly get an estimation cost of RM30-50 of payment I should made. Some readers might questioned: “ Why are you confident about your estimation? ” Here’s my reason, first, his car is a Proton Saga, one of the cheaper cars that majority of us could brought easily, plus it is not even the latest version, his car is about 10-20 years old. In addition, his car is rusty old car, the interiors are broken, the coatings are completely destroyed. Second, I didn’t even saw a dent or a scratch in his car bumper. That’s not what made me so furious, the point where he immediately get off his car and want me to pay RM3000 for his damage cost really get on my nerves.

 


The man that I’ve ram was Malay man who is dressed in a working outfit. He said none of us can leave without settling this issue. I agreed and said: “ Let’s call the police and settle this issue. ” He kept on denying my answer and asked me pay immediately. I ignored him and repeatedly shouting out “ CALL THE POLICE! ” I made a risky move in betting that he does not have a car license and there’s a police car who is coming our way at that moment. As expected, he did panicked and quickly get on his car and ran away. After this issue has been resolved, I get in my car and went back home.
